Day 1 : Tangier \u2013 Chefchaouen<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

During the first day of your trip we will meet you in the port and drive through the Rif mountains and Tetoun city to enjoy the\u00a0beautiful views until we get to Chefchaouan, one of Morocco\u2019s most picturesque cities.\u00a0Chefchaouen medina has a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top restaurants and cafes. We\u2019ll spend the night here in the blue city in a local riad.<\/p>\n

Day 2 : Chefchaouen\u00a0\u2013 Volubilis\u00a0\u2013 Meknes\u00a0\u2013 Fez\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

After your breakfast in the riad our authentic journey will start towards Volubilis crossing via Wazan and other rif villages.\u00a0At Volubilis we will discover the Roman ruins and learn about this\u00a0archeological site of Moroccan history. We\u00a0will then make\u00a0our way to Meknes, a city with much\u00a017th-century heritage, where we will stop for lunch, hang around the historical walls of the medina, see the bab el mansour and enjoy a visit of Moulay Ismail shrine.\u00a0Finally, our journey takes us to Fez where we will spend the night.<\/p>\n

Day 3: Fez Guided Tour<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

After breakfast in your riad, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets with a local guide. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate and the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fez.<\/p>\n

Day 4: Fez \u2013\u00a0Midelt\u00a0\u2013 Ziz Valley \u00a0\u2013 Merzouga<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

After breakfast in your hotel you will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will be travelling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, you\u2019ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert. We\u2019ll stop to see the wild monkeys and to have lunch along the way. We will snake our way\u00a0along to Erfoud and Rissani as we get closer to the desert, arriving in Merzouga village in\u00a0the afternoon. You\u2019ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before your checking into your desert\u00a0hotel. In this tranquil and friendly town, you can venture out on your own to see the community garden or to explore the dunes a little on foot.<\/p>\n

Day 5: Merzouga\u00a0\u2013 Sahara Desert Tour\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Erg Chebbi Camel Trekking<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

After breakfast in your riad, your driver will take you on a desert tour around the Erg Chebbi sand dunes.\u00a0You will hear the music of\u00a0the Gnawa people \u2013\u00a0originally from Mali, Senegal and Sudan\u00a0\u2013\u00a0in Khamlia village. later, we will meet nomad families to explore their way of life. Today our lunch will be a traditional berber meal (Berber pizza).\u00a0In the afternoon, we will return to the desert hotel in Merzouga where you will\u00a0meet your camels and your camel guide. Hop on the caravan and head into the heart of the dunes until you reach our desert camp. Here, dinner\u00a0will be served in front of the traditional nomad tent\u00a0where you will spend the night.<\/p>\n

Day 6: Sahara Desert\u00a0\u2013 Todra Gorge\u00a0\u2013 Dades Gorges<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

Early the next morning, you\u2019ll hop back on the camel caravan and return to the desert hotel where breakfast awaits. Take some time to shower at the hotel if you wish.\u00a0Depending on whether it is market day, your driver may suggest\u00a0a visit to the\u00a0old city of Rissani \u2013\u00a0the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty \u2013\u00a0the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Rissani is surrounded by about 360 ksar (a fortified village with many towers) and has a big souk (an open market), held three times a week. Once called Sijilmassa, this was the meeting place for the salt caravans, coming from Timbuktu in Mali. Here you\u2019ll see merchants\u00a0selling spices, vegetables and cloth. Next\u00a0we\u2019ll continue to the mountains where we\u2019ll see the steep rock walls of Todra Gorge and also the peculiar geological formation known as the \u201cmonkey fingers.\u201d We\u2019ll spend the night in the peaceful Dades Valley.<\/p>\n

Day\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>7: Dades Gorges\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Ait\u00a0Benhaddou\u00a0\u2013 Marrakesh<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

After breakfast, we will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M\u2019gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs \u2013 providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. We will stop at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah for lunch, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains.\u00a0Now the kasbah is a\u00a0UNESCO heritage site. After that we will shift the way to cross high atlas mountains full of panoramic views and attractive Berber villages all along the way until\u00a0Marrakesh, where we will spend the night in a traditional riad.<\/p>\n

Day\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>8: Marrakesh Guided Tour<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

After breakfast in the riad, we will\u00a0start exploring Marrakesh, the red city of Morocco. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs and the Bahia Palace. After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. On the afternoon, you will have some free time to wander\u00a0by yourself near the main square.<\/p>\n

Day 9: Marrakesh \u2013 Essaouira \u2013 Marrakesh<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

Seaside day trip! After breakfast in your riad, you will start travelling to the coastal city of Essaouira. You\u2019ll visit the Skala Fortress, see Thuya wood carved by artisans, walk through the alleys of the medina and view hundreds of handicrafts. This \u201cCity of the Wind\u201d attracts surfers from all over the world. Essaouira knew many civilisations \u2013 including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture \u2013 however, it remains a small village with much history. Because of its size and its characteristic blue doors and washed walls, it is also regarded as Morocco\u2019s \u201cJewel of the Atlantic.\u201d Lunch will be done the Moroccan way \u2013 fresh fish from the seafood market. In the afternoon you will travel back to Marrakech. We conclude the tour when we drop you off at a location of your choice in Marrakesh
